We were glad to have visitors this weekend, Jim Yonts and Roger Yonts of Alabama, Janice Wolod of Maryland, Thelma Vice and Debbie Vice of Flemingsburg, and Ann Yonts. Virginia shared with us the life stories written by her sisters — our mothers and aunts. We had a good time of sharing memories.
Emma Schroer, a very talented young singer, was chosen to be in the All- State Chorus of Georgia. Her grandmother Janice Wolod, mother Kim Schroer and sister Anneliese Schroer went to Savannah with her. They really enjoyed the concerts and the beautiful old city of Savannah. Anneliese, a soccer player, has taken training and is now working as an assistant referee.
Stephen Brown was working in South Carolina last week. His brother Randy took his canoe and went with him. After their day’s work was completed, they got in some good fishing on a lake, which they shared with the alligators.
Hayden Bentley celebrated his birthday at the recreation center with his friends.
Mabel Faye Bentley Carroll of Jensen Beach, Fla., visited her mother and stepfather, Hubert and Thelma Cook Bays, in North Carolina.
Linda Combs sends happy birthday wishes to Jennifer Combs, and happy anniversary wishes to Steve and Brenda Boggs. They were married at the Little Cowan Primitive Baptist Church. She also sends hellos to Don and Danna Walker of Naples, Fla.
