Collin Cruz Eversole turned five years old on June 16. He celebrated his birthday at the Dorton Park. There was a full house. Proud parents are Fredrick and Tiffany Eversole of Pikeville. Collin had surgery on the 19th to remove his tonsils. He also had tubes put in his ears. Prayers are greatly appreciated.
Prayers for the family of Luther Meade of Kingscreek. Luther was a well known man in Letcher County.
My cousin Diane Brashears from Morristown, Ind., called and told me she had Stage II breast cancer. Broke my heart. Please pray for her. She may get to come to Kentucky to visit us here on the creek this coming week. We grew up together. On the bright side, I am thankful the doctors found it when they did. Breast cancer is curable and I pray she is one of the lucky ones.
Come September, my cousins and I are going to Maryland to visit our Uncle Ron and Aunt Janice. I see all the posts on Facebook of people at the beach. My time is a’coming. We call ourselves “Granny’s Gals.” Our granny, Beulah Caudill, taught us all about the Lord. The Lord was always first and foremost in her life. She was a granny to many. She loved people. I miss her dearly.
The Gibson family reunion will be held this Saturday ( June 28) at the Cowan Community Center, beginning at 10 a.m.
