Glennon and Thelma Ison’s grandson, Ben Vice, has been in Germany visiting his friend, Anika Franke, and her family. Anika had been an exchange student in Flemingsburg.

The Cowan Elementary girls’ basketball team has started practice. Their coach is Pam Banks. Nicole is on the girls’ team and Haley on the pee-wee team. We wish a good successful year for them.

Bert and Zelma Lou Banks enjoyed having grandson Daniel spend a few days with them.

Jeanette Day has a beautiful new great-granddaughter. She is Laken Nicole, born July 11. Her mother is Jamie Day and her big brother is Lyric.

On Thursday, Earl and Juanita Profitt, Ella Preston, Virginia Brown, and Doris Banks were treated to a delicious lunch at the Hoagie Shop in Cumberland. While there, they were happy to see Eunice Crase and her daughter, Angie. They also visited Orville and Lela Collier on Collier’s Creek.

Saturday, Virginia enjoyed having Kathy LaMonte, Anne Carpenter, Stuart Sigrest and his wife, son and daughter for dinner. On Sunday, she was visited by Robert and Sherry Brown, Bradley and Joseph, J.T. and Carol Caudill, and Janice Wolod.

Mrs. Marsha Banks has been enjoying a nice visit with Missy Crovetti and family in Chicago. Hope she has a safe trip home. Carl Bennett has been pretty busy checking on me and other things while she is gone.
