CUNA MAE BANKS

Cuna Mae Banks, 88, died November 4 at the Golden Living Center in Indiana.

A daughter of the late Lee and Bertha Ison Banks, she was preceded in death by four sisters, Dixie, Gladys, Lora and Ora, and four infant brothers, and had lived most of her life in Premium.

She was graduated from Whitesburg High School in 1941, attended Morehead Teachers College, and taught in elementary school.

Surviving are her niece, Deborah Lare and husband Bruce, Gaston, Ind.; two nephews, Joe Stokes and wife Linda of Sarasota, Fla., and Shelby Adams of Salem, Mass.; a great-niece, Jennifer Best and husband Brian of Sarasota, Fla.; a greatnephew, Andrew Stokes and wife Lili of Muncie, Ind.; three great-great-nephews, Jonah, Grayson, and Samuel; and two great-greatnieces, Josie and Lindley.

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 12, at Green Acres Cemetery in Whitesburg.
