David Jarrett Jr., 80, of Livonia, Michigan, formerly of Whitesburg, died January 25. Burial was in Parkview Memorial Cemetery in Livonia.
Born in Jenkins, he was a son of the late Dave and Cora Jarrett, and the father of the late Loretta Jarrett. He was a brother of the late Rita Joe Jarrett, Madonna Sue Jarrett Craft, Letha Ann Jarrett Collins, Dayne Marvin ‘Starvin’ Marvin’ Jarrett, and Paul Bernard Jarrett, and a brother-in-law of the late Archie Craft and Robert L. Bennett.
Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Shirley Miles Jarrett; a son, Donald Jarrett and wife Andrea; a daughter, Mary May and husband Anthony; three sisters, Nina Craft and Linda Jarrett, both of Whitesburg, and Wilma Bennett of Kettering, Oh.; two brothers, Tom Jarrett and wife Mary Ellen of Pueblo, Colo., and Bill Jarrett and wife Mary Ellen of Vandalia, Oh.; a sister-in-law, Etta Jarrett of Frankenmuth, Mich.; two brothers-in-law, Homer Craft of Indianapolis, Ind., and Clayton Collins of Osgood, Ind.; three grandchildren, Kelly Amo and husband Dustin, John May, and Lisa May; and the Riley Miles family.
