David Webb dies in Indiana

David Durand “Buck” Webb, 86, of North Vernon, Ind., died March 7 at Lincoln Hills Health Center in New Albany, Ind.

Born in McRoberts, he was a son of the late David Burnace and Malinda Vanover Webb and a brother of the late Herbert Webb and Jimmy Dale Webb.

He retired in 1987 after 40 years from Cummins Engine Company in Columbus, Ind., where he had worked in the research department, and worked for 20 years for County Squire Lake Security retiring in 2008. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946.

He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Columbus, Ind., and was the owner of Webb’s Archery Shop.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Jeanetta Henry Webb; two sons, Jeffery Webb and wife Kendra and Lance Webb, all of North Vernon, Ind.; three daughters, Jerri Tinsley and husband Steve of Georgetown, Ind., and Nikki Miller and husband Terry and Stormey Booth and husband Lyle, all of North Vernon, Ind.; a brother, Watson Webb of North Vernon, Ind.; a sister, Sonia Craft of North Vernon, Ind.; eight grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; several step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held March 11 in North Vernon, Ind.
