I hope you are having a great holiday season. We at the center are staying busy.
By the time you read this the giveaway at Marlow Tackett’s ‘Christmas for the Needy’ will be over. I hope it was a great success. He can help so many people.
At the center it has been a rush to get the last of the quilts out for gifts. They are so pretty. They are even letting me quilt. If you have never tried it, you should. It is an addiction, and you don’t want to stop.
I’ve been out at night several times and am so pleased to see all the decorations. It is so cheery and shows people still have a great Christmas spirit.
I can’t believe how generous these ladies are. None of them know me every well, but Eulah Miller knew I was looking for four more green prints for an appliquéd Dahlia Quilt. She very generously brought me more than four colors of fabric to see if they would work.
Genita Callihan is going to share some of her patterns with me. Kingscreek
One of our girls hadn’t been there since I started, so I finally got to meet her. She is real sweet, and her name is Coleen Cornett. Welcome back.
Several of the girls are going shopping on Friday, but I have to stay home. I have a date with the Big Man, Santa. We go way back together.
Some of our people have been sick or have loved ones who are sick. Please think of all the sick and then be thankful for the ones who are healthy and well.
That’s about all for the center this week. Hug someone every day — especially a child.
The Cowan Head Start brought their little ones over to sing for us. We served them cookies and Kool-Aid. They were so loving. I got several very sweet hugs before they left.
Until next time, love someone, especially yourself.
