Dian Pack, Tex Smith married

Hello everyone! Glad to see the sun shine again. Helps everyone get over the funk and cabin fever.

We have lost a lot of neighbors, family and friends this past week or two: Jack Day from Little Cowan; Regina Fields Slone on March 9, a daughter of the late Jim and Jeanette Fields; Frances Day, wife of R.C. Day. Sorry I did not make it to visitation, I was at Regina Slone’s viewing. My sympathy goes to R.C. and his family; JoAnn Sturgill, wife of Darrell Sturgill, and the mother of Debbie Hooper, died March 13. Sympathy to the family; Larry Hatton, sympathy to all.

I attended three visitations this past week, Don Sturgill, husband of Cora Pack and Donna Mason’s dad. Prayers for family. Then Regina Slone. Keep Odell and Billy Joe, grandchildren and brothers and sisters in prayer; and JoAnn Sturgill, keep family in prayer. They fought the good fight and won the race, and are in a better place than we are.

Happy late birthday to Dr. Williams. It was one day last week.

Big Cowan

Happy birthday to Bro. Frank Adams on March 15; Linda Dollarhide Sexton and the late Dean Wilson, both on March 20. Shania Dobson will be 15 on March 22; Jim Bo Ison has a birthday on March 23; DeAundre Jefferson, great-grandson of Archie and Margaret Fields, will be five years old on March 25.

Congratulations to newlyweds Dian (Pack) and Tex Smith on their wedding on Thursday, March 12. May they have many happy years together.

Saw my cousin, Greg Boggs of Cumberland at Walmart on Sunday. Glad to see him, it has been awhile.

Irene Day fell and fractured two ribs. Keep her in prayer. Also Eugene needs prayer.

Also saw Enos Sturgill at his sister-in-law’s funeral.

In memory this week: Shelia Younce Hogan died a year ago March 22; Robert Campbell would have been 90 on March 24.

There are so many people still in need of prayer. Too many to list, but God knows who they are.

Attend the church of your choice, be good to one another.

Until next time, may God bless all of you.
