Congratulations to Anita ‘Dimple’ Caudill for receiving a two-year pin for services rendered at Food City Pharmacy in Pikeville. Dimple also helped her niece, Dela, celebrate her first birthday on Sunday at the Long Fork Community Center Cabin. The party had a cowgirl theme with a barn cake. The theme fit so well with the beautiful look of the cabin.
A lot of Dela’s family and friends came to celebrate with her. Dela is the daughter of Peanut and Olieka Caudill. Her birthday was Jan. 25.
Speaking of birthdays, we want to send birthday wishes to Kim Adams Mullins, Agnes Bentley, Dee Dee Johnson, Bessie Hampton, Tonya Ratliff , Ann Newsome and Wendy Blair.
Our condolences go to the families of J.C. Potter, Ballard Bentley, Joe Little and Charles Anderson.
Net Potter and Deidra Banks went to visit with Norm and Leonard Fleming recently. Norm has been sick for awhile, and we hope she gets better soon.
Get well wishes go to Robert Mullins, too. He had to have a procedure done on his neck recently, and he also had to go back to see his ear, nose and throat doctor.

Get well also to Wink Miller. Wink and Neceda are home now, but had to spend the holidays in Lexington. Please continue to pray for him to have a speedy recovery.
Please pray for Gunner Varney. He was born at 26 weeks and is in Lexington. He and his family need everyone’s prayers.
Also remember Ty Collie and his family in your prayers, as he is battling with cancer. We hope that he has a speedy recovery.
I hope that the Jenkins High School cheerleaders had a good trip to Richmond this past Saturday.
I hope that the meeting at the courthouse over the rate increase with AEP will have a positive result. There was a good turnout at the meeting, with people coming to oppose the rate increase.
Congratulations to Corey Johnson, a son of Lynn and Tracy Johnson. He got his driver’s license recently. Cory is also the grandson of Norm and Leonard Fleming.
There was a big crowd at the Hemphill Community Center last Friday night. Everyone helped Hiram and Ruby Collins celebrate their marriage. We wish them good luck.
