Dining and shopping a big treat

It’s January 2009 and we start anew. Therefore we will review our programs for October, November and December.

We went shopping in October and ate at our favorite place. We had our potluck dinner on the third Wednesday, which is always good.

We gave trick-or-treat bags to the Head Start children and they had a little program that they performed for us.

In December, the center was decorated. Claudia Banks does a great job making everything pretty.

We went to Kingscreek Center for a Thanksgiving dinner and all the centers attended. All brought baskets filled with goodies. There were drawings for give-aways. It was a very nice visit and a very nice dinner.

Thank you, Kingscreek! For December we had a potluck dinner. Everything was prepared for Christmas.

We went to Linefork and ate dinner at the new B & B Restaurant in December. It’s a nice place to eat if you like good food.

We gave Christmas treat bags to the children again. We planned a gift exchange for our last day before Christmas. Some had brought gifts already under the tree.

There were several programs other than our seniors’ held there, and our gifts went missing. So we canceled our gift exchange. We all gathered around the fireplace and sang Christmas songs and told stories.

Lee Boy Sexton played his banjo, and Jim and Ann’s son played the guitar and sang.

On Jan. 9, we went back to B & B Restaurant and had breakfast, besides our gossip games during the time mentioned.

We were glad to be in good health and able to come out and have fellowship with one another.
