Noble Dixon, 78, died February 24 at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center in Hazard.
A son of the late Robert and Tilda Bush Dixon, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Christine Eldridge, Gladys Galloway, and Imogene Ison, and six brothers, Dennis “Babe”, Lester, Arcle, Hobert, Paris, and Carl Dean Smith.
Surviving are his wife, Gaynell Dixon; a daughter, Jen Dixon of Cornettsville; a son, Steve Dixon and wife Dreamela of Hallie; three granddaughters, Lacey Ison and husband Danny of Cornettsville, Janetta Stumbo and husband Josh of Minnie, and Sierra Cornett and husband Cole of Lexington; two grandsons, Adam “Adam Boy” Collier and wife Angel of Cornettsville and Andrew “Drew Boy” Hallie; a great-granddaughter, Maci “Baby Doll” Ison; five great-grandsons, Eric Burns, Zachary Collier, Jace Adam Noble Collier, Solomon Collier, and Sawyer Ison; and a good friend, Greg Sparkman.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Thursday, February 27, at the Cedar Grove Church. Visitation is from 6 to 10 p.m. tonight (Wednesday) at the Cedar Grove Church. Burial will follow at the Dixon family cemetery in Hallie.
