Dixons welcome new baby

Congratulations to Amy and Travis Dixon of Whitesburg. Landon Clay Dixon was born Sept. 5. He weighed 7 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 inches long. He had to be taken to Lexington put on a ventilator because the cord was wrapped around his neck, but is now doing well and may be home by Tuesday. He is the grandbaby of Fred Dixon and the late Lenore Dixon. I’m sorry I don’t know Amy’s parents.

Edward Smith of Carcassonne is still in the Pikeville hospital. He had a massive stroke about two weeks ago, then had to have his gallbladder taken out. As of Saturday he was still in the hospital and was not doing well. I hope he can get better soon and come home.

Happy anniversary to Cooley and Carrie Cornett of Letcher. It was their 39th on Sept. 9.

Rick Whitaker of Linefork was in the WARH and had to have his gallbladder taken out. He is home now and doing better.

Mae Fugate of Carcassonne’s brother Tom and his wife Jenny from Indianapolis, her sister Mona Voiginier, and her daughters Tammy and Timi, all from Florida, came in over the weekend to visit with Mae and the family. Blackey

My sympathy to Tom, as he had a son, Tommy Francis, II, die recently.
