Doc says he didn’t murder wife

HARRODSBURG, Ky.

A central Kentucky doctor has pleaded not guilty to murdering his wife.

The Lexington Herald-Leader

reported that 46-year-old Dr. Steven Hall entered the plea Tuesday in Boyle District Court.

He is accused of killing Isabel Hall by pushing her out of a pontoon boat at Herrington Lake and running over her.

Defense attorney Greg Simms of Lebanon said after the arraignment that Isabel Hall’s death was an accident and that Hall maintains his innocence.

Hall told police that he and his wife got into a fight and that he threw her off the boat into the lake. Hall told police that he drove the boat toward her to scare her and accidentally struck her. However, some witnesses have told police that it was intentional.

Hall is being held at the Boyle County detention center without bond.
