Dorothy Campbell celebrates her 86th birthday

My sympathy to the family of Erin Marie Warden of Jeremiah. She died last week. She was 26. I know her brother, Michael, my kids went to youth group with him at one time.

Happy birthday to Travis Sturgill of Whitesburg. It was on June 21. He turned 18.

Happy birthday to Cassie Back of Knott County. She will be 7 on June 25. She is the daughter of Jessica Bowling and the late Eric Back of Elk Creek. She has a older sister and brother, Tiffany and Zachary.

The Appalachian Wireless tower they put up over here is now working so if you have that service it should pick up a lot better now. It was put up on Paxton Madden’s land. I’ve talked to some that have Appalachian Wireless and they said they finally are able to get a signal around over in here.

Lenora Dixon of Blackey, died on June 21 at her home. She had had cancer for awhile now and had gotten worse the last few weeks. All her family had been staying with her and helping out her husband, Fred. My heart goes out to her family. She was just a good person and will be missed.

There was a birthday dinner held for Dorothy Campbell of Jeremiah on Saturday. She turned 86. Dorthy and her late husband, Amos, use to live on Bull Creek.

My sympathy to the family of Wilda Caudill. She died on June 20. I went to school with her son, Tim. They used to live at the mouth of Pratt Mountain. I’m not sure where they are now.

Roland and Paula Griffie, Pat Wayne Patterson and his son, Corey, of Isom all, left on Sunday. They were going on vacation to Myrtle Beach.

Dabber and Eurilla Campbell’s granddaughter, Hannah Mann (Maywood’s daughter), enjoyed a day of fishing with her uncle, Matt, and cousin, Bill, at Blair Pay Lake Saturday. Their catch totaled 75 pounds. Hannah also enjoyed her nanny, Eurilla, frying them a big mess of catfish with all the fixings. Everyone spent this past Saturday placing some new vinyl siding on Eurilla and Dab’s house. It looks so pretty. Hannah’s uncle, Randy Campbell, came in just in time for Eurilla’s famous biscuits and gravy.
