Drum circle planned at Hemphill




FIRST KEEPER — Ryder Slone, 6, caught his first keeper bass, weighing three pounds and 16 inches long June 25 at Carr Creek Lake. He is the son of Danielle Absher of Whitco and has two favorite uncles, Tim Absher and Curtis Absher, with whom he is pictured. He is the grandson of Henrietta Absher.

It is official. The sheep at Black Sheep Brick Oven Bakery are going to be producing pizza and baked goods Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. You may call in for carryout or dine in. Our new hours will be 3 to 9 p.m., three days per week. We may add days and hours as we see demand.

Thursday nights we will host a drum circle so bring your drum or percussion instrument and join us at 7 p.m. Friday Nite Pickin’ will continue as usual every Friday. Saturday nights will feature open mic 7 to 9 p.m. Musicians can come sing for their supper every Saturday.

Black Sheep Bakery is now taking orders for loaf breads (white, 9 grain, and honey oat) and hot rolls. We will be baking on Thursdays and orders can be picked up on regular business days. If the time doesn’t work for you we will arrange for you to pick up. We can receive orders through Wednesdays at 4 p.m. to allow us to get our bakers and ingredients lined up. Friday Nite Pickin’: Children get in free when accompanied by an adult. Open mic at intermission. Family friendly environment.
