Durward Narramore is buried at Ermine





Durward Edward Narramore Sr. died October 4 at his home at Jenkins. He was 87 years old.

Born at Rockwood, Tenn., he was a son of the late William Edward and Jannie McClendon Narramore. He was married to the late Helen Louise Gilliam Narramore.

He was retired from Bethlehem Coal Company and worked for a number of years for Tackett-Manning Coal Company. He also owned and operated Narramore Tires for many years. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Jenkins and the Shriners, and was a lifetime member of Jenkins Masonic Lodge.

Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Lewis and husband Richard and Lana Shubert and husband Robert “Pud”, all of Jenkins, and Lois Johnson, Frankfort; a son, Durward Narramore Jr. and wife Deborah Lynn, Jenkins; 10 grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; a brother, Owen Narramore, Rockwood, Tenn.; two step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held October 7 at Emmanuel Baptist Church. Burial was in Green Acres Cemetery at Ermine.

Carty Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
