Easter lilies are above ground, ready to bloom

Church services at Kingscreek Community Church were enjoyable. Sunday evening was Easter play practice and then church services.

The Easter lilies have popped up out of the ground and are ready to start blooming.

Katlyn Boggs had her fourth birthday party at the Cowan Community Center a few weeks ago. Many family members and friends attended her party and she got lots of nice gifts. Happy birthday, Katlyn.

Doyle Day of Roxana, has been pretty sick lately. Hope you get to feeling better.

Happy birthday to Wayne Ison of Kingscreek. He had a birthday Feb. 22.

My sister, Mae McKee of Lawrenceburg, Ind., has been over in the Philippines doing missionary work for the past five years. She has come back to Lawrenceburg and is staying with her son, Linnie Fryman, and wife Debbie until July and then she’ll be returning to the Philippines. Mae said it’s a really poor country and most all of the people were eager to hear about God’s word. Mae is a member of the Dearborn County Community Church in Lawrenceburg.

I want to wish Wyatt Ison of Cowan, a belated happy fifth birthday on Feb. 5.

If anyone has any news they would like me to write about, you can send it to my e-mail, margie.ison@yahoo.com.

Ida Halcomb has been sick. I hope you get to feeling better.

Eula Ison of Premium, is sick. Get well soon.

The flu that appears to be going around is really getting people down. Schools have been closed and I think everyone has had some sort of sickness this past month. Maybe spring will get here real soon and everyone will start feeling better.

This is a prayer list that I will be putting in my column each week, or at least I will try to. Maybe if everyone will pray for each other, things will be changed in all of our lives. Included on the prayer list this week are: Doyle Day, Roxana; Fred Ison, Kingscreek; Megan Fields, Kingscreek; Don Brown, Little Dry Fork; Sally Caudill, Little Dry Fork; Ken Sexton, Whitesburg; Norma Roark, Kingscreek; Donald Bolser, Miamitown, Ohio; Ida Halcomb; Eula Ison, Premium; and Henry Halcomb, Hindman.
