ECCO has busy week cleaning, restocking

Greeting from the hills and valleys of Eolia and the Eolia Christian Outreach.

“If we are faithless, he will remain faithful, for he cannot disown himself.” 2 Timothy 2:13

It was another busy week at ECCO as we cleared and cleaned out storage rooms, restocked pantry shelves and filled a shelf and table with fall decorations to sell in the thrift store. We also had our walk-in freezer to go down, but thanks to the quick response of Anderson Refrigeration we didn’t lose any food.

Garland Couch was baptized Sunday with several family members in attendance. Adean Adams, an old Blue Diamond mining buddy, came over the mountain to attend the service.

We were saddened to hear of the death of Jimmy Adams from Craft’s Colly, another of Tony’s old mining buddies.

Tony had his lung biopsy last week, but we don’t know the results yet. We want to thank everyone for your prayers and phone calls, and ask that each time you pray please continue to lift Tony up.

I understand Dale Parsons had a birthday last week. Wonder what little bird told me that. Here’s wishing Dale a belated happy birthday and many more.

I’m really getting this column out at the last minute hoping it makes it. I’m not sure if I just have more to do these days or just getting slower doing it.

We’ve spent the better part of the day looking for Emily a go-kart. Heaven help us grandparents, but we love it.

Thought for the day: “Decisions can take you out of God’s will but never out of His reach.”
