Edith Eldridge, 75, died October 11 at her home in Jeremiah.
A daughter of the late Henry and Dora Rainy Hodge, she was the mother of the late David Eldridge.
She was a sister of the late Detroit Hodge, Bufford Hodge, Floyd Hodge, Ada Hodge Easler, Ethel Hodge Kellogg, and Beulah Hodge Galloway.
Mrs. Eldridge was also preceded in death by two grandchildren, David Aaron Eldridge and Santana Eldridge.
Surviving are her husband, Grant Eldridge; five sons, Gary Eldridge of Dry Fork, and Donald Eldridge, Grant Jr. Eldridge, Daniel Eldridge, and Roy Eldridge, all of Jeremiah; four daughters, Carolyn Rachel and Diana Sexton, both of Jeremiah, Abby Hansel of Prestonsburg, and Angela Halcomb of Whitesburg; a brother, Vollie Hodge of Lexington; 22 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Eldridge were held October 14 at Letcher Funeral Home in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Eldridge Cemetery at Jeremiah.
