Edward Fields buried at Cowan



Edward Fields, 72, of Whitesburg, died December 2, in Greenfield, Ind.

A son of the late Culbert and Easter Mitchell Fields, he was the widower of Allie Fields.

He was a brother of the late Wanda Taulbee, Louise Pittman, and Lilly Mae Begley.

Surviving are three sons, Edward J. Fields and wife Joanne of Cumberland, George Alan Fields and wife Laura of Jenkins, and Frank Fields and wife Lisa of Cowan; a daughter, Renia Fay Hughes and husband Walter of Greenfield, Ind.; five grandchildren, Lee, Sarah, David, Donnie, and Dakota; a number of great-grandchildren; six sisters, Geneva Amburgey and Mary Lou Hale, both of Yulee, Fla., Viola Boggs of Lynch, Marie Anna Pendleton and Nadine Haynes both of Whitesburg, and Lena Anderson of Granite Falls, N.C.; and three brothers, Melvin Fields of Clay City, Millard Fields of Frankfort, and Wendall Fields of Granite Falls, N. C.

Funeral services for Mr. Fields were held December 5 at the Cowan Chapel Church. Burial was in the Obie Fields Cemetery at Cowan.

Letcher Funeral Home of Whitesburg had charge of arrangements.
