An organizational meeting of the Parent Nomination/Election Committee of the Letcher County Central High School Site Based Decision Making Council will be held at 4 p.m., Thursday, May 13 in the school library.
Parents of Letcher County Central High School ninth through 11th graders and parents of Letcher County eighth graders who are pre-enrolled at Letcher County Central High School for the 2010-11 school year are invited and encouraged to attend this meeting.
The purpose of the meeting is to organize the Parent Nomination/ Election Committee to facilitate the nomination of parent candidates for election to the LCCHS SBDM Council for the 2010-11 school year. This committee will also conduct the 2010 parent election.
The election date, time, and place will be determined by the Parent Election/ Nomination Committee and announced during the meeting. The parents elected will serve from July 1, 2010 until June 30, 2011.
