Funeral services for Elizabeth Keel, 92, were held April 12 in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Potter Cemetery at Kona.
Born in Deane to the late Milton and Jane Cook Adams, she died April 9 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
She was the widow of James Hearl Keel, and the mother of the late Johnny Keel, Patrick Keel, Alice Dodd, and Loretta White.
She was a sister of the late Nancy Keel, Ida Bates, Stacy Scott, Harrison Adams, Milton Adams, Haze Adams and Jimmy Adams, and a grandmother of the late David Cook.
Surviving are a son, James Keel and wife Sherry of Dalton, Ga.; a daughter, Rose Cook and husband Doug of Kingscreek; 14 grandchildren, and a number great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
