Emil Cook buried at Mayking



Emil Arthur Cook II, 68, of Potters Fork, died March 4 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.

A son of the late Arthur I and Edith Slone Cook, he was married to the late La- Ree Kincer Cook and was a brother of the late Jeanetta McClellan.

Funeral services were held March 6 at Mt. Olivet Old Regular Baptist Church. Burial was in the Webb Cemetery at Mayking.

Surviving are two sons, Michael Cook, Bealeton, Va., and Arthur ‘Artie’ Cook III, Kingsport, Tenn.; two daughters, Karen Wilder, Potters Fork, and Kimberly Bates, Whitesburg; three sisters, Lillus Campbell, Cincinnati, Ohio, Lola Beck, Lawrenceville, Ga., and Pamela Cook, Seco; and seven grandchildren.

Letcher Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
