The Kentucky River District Health Department is warning that people who ate at Frances’ Diner in Hazard over a four-day period last week might have been exposed to Covid-19.

According to a statement issued this morning by the health department, an employee at the restaurant tested positive for the virus. The department is warning anyone who ate at the diner on Oct. 6, 7, 8 or 9, to monitor themselves for symptoms, and to contact their doctor if they experience fever, coughing, shortness of breath, upset stomach or loss of taste and smell.

The statement says the restaurant is cooperating with the health department.
