A very merry Christmas to each and every one and wishing for all a happy, healthy and prosperous new year.
Hope this finds everyone well and that your decorating and tree trimming are finished. We have our tree up and all trimmed even the lights are on.
Awe, you guessed! Yep, it’s a tabletop one and came with lights and a few small ornaments, so all we have to do is plug it in. We even received our first gift, a CD player and lunch from Bill and Redia.
Isn’t that a thoughtful son and daughter (in-law)? They knew mine had just up and quit and heard me saw I wanted another. The reason in-law is in parenthesis is because I consider both daughters-in-law our daughters.
Healthwise things haven’t been going too well lately at the Engle household, but by the grace of God we’ll make it until our 67th anniversary.
We have been having some fairly decent weather lately. Of course we do have some heavy frosts and a snow flurry once in a great while.
I have been trying to get some Christmas cards mailed but my writing is so shaky I can only do a few at a time. If you don’t receive one, it’s certainly not because I have forgotten you. I remember you and maybe after the holidays I can start writing letters again.
I talked to Jeanie and she is all excited they are going to Cummings, Ga., to spend the holidays with their son and his family, Calvin, Mary, Carson and Cameron.
I believe I mentioned a while back about Dottie (Kiser-Mable) Bentley joining the church. Isn’t that a perfect beginning for the holiday season! She and another lady, Oma Jean, were baptized at Antioch Church in Louisville. Oma Jean will have her membership there and Dottie will have hers at another church. I can’t remember the name, sorry! Both of these ladies are really good singers. Wish I could sing half as well, in my heart and mind I can but I don’t have enough air.
Hello to Oma Hatton and Rose Ballard and belated birthday wishes to both. Also hello to all the other writers. I read them all but am a bit behind on my reading right now.
So many I would like to send a hello to, but I’m going to have to stop for now. Richard and Georgia will be stopping by shortly and Catharine could be here anytime.
So until next time, stay warm, stay well and have a great life. My love and prayers to all. Have a fantastic holiday with family and friends.
