The Ermine Senior Citizens had a wonderful week last week. Our center won the Senior Center of the Year Award. Twenty-five members from our center went to Hazard to see our site manager, Debbie Slone, receive the award. County Judge Jim Ward and Eddie Meade were there also. The award was presented to Debbie by Peggy Roe of the Kentucky River Area Develop- ment District.

We ate lunch while we were in Hazard.

David and Debbie Slone have a new granddaughter. She was born Dec. 2, and her name is Destiny Hope Slone. She weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces.

Our quilting ladies are working on another pretty quilt. They get one finished and put another one back in the frames. They sure have made a lot of pretty quilts.

We are planning a shopping trip on Saturday, Dec. 13, to Johnson City, Tenn. Our center is really on the move.

Billy Paul Frazier, one of our senior citizens, is in the University of Kentucky Hospital. They took him by ambulance Thursday. I hope you’re doing better, Billy Paul, and will be back with us soon.

When one of our seniors is sick and not with us, we miss them. Please send up a prayer on his behalf.

Seniors, come and visit us and see how we’re doing. Be glad to see you.
