Ermine seniors enjoy their trip to Pikeville

This news from the Ermine Senior Citizens Center:

Senior citizens from the Ermine Center went shopping at Pikeville Friday. We had 26 to go. We had a wonderful day although it was very hot.

We shopped at Wal-Mart then went to Bob Evans for lunch. Some had breakfast. After lunch we shopped at Peeples, Dollar Tree, J.C. Penney’s, and Magic Mart. We found lots of good bargains.

I made a mistake in last week’s news. I said we had 47 at our potluck and Memorial dinner, but we had 64. Sorry about that.

Our center is sad this week as one of our senior citizens passed away last Wednesday in Johnson City Hospital in Tennessee. It was Charlie Brown. He had been in a car wreck about two or three weeks ago. Charlie will be missed by all of us as he was very faithful to come to the center every day and he would go on the trips with us. We had a small memorial service for him Tuesday at our center. Rhuford Hart, a preacher at our center, conducted the service.

Come and visit our center. We will be glad to see you. God bless until next time.
