Eugene Day, Deoila Day are hospitalized

Big Cowan

Sorry to hear about Eva Sexton dying. She was 95 years old. She died November 21. Visitation was November 24 and the funeral was on November 25 at Letcher Funeral Home. She was burial at Green Acres Cemetery. She was the mother of my aunt, Nova (Benton) Fields. Our sympathy goes to the family.

I also hated to hear of Tom Gish dying. I didn’t know him personally but I knew he owned The Mountain Eagle. Our sympathy goes out to the family.

It makes the holidays a little dreary when family members pass away during that time.

Katie Dobson of Columbus, Ind., had gallbladder surgery and is doing OK. Eugene Day of Cowan, and Deolia Day are in the hospital. Please pray for them to be well soon.

We had a big Thanksgiving dinner at the Freewill Baptist Church on November 26 with our church family and our family members. Afterward we had church. There was too much food to mention and lots of good fellowship.

Lots of family came in to visit their families for the holiday. Too many to mention but glad they had a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

My husband came in and went to the hospital to have his stitches taken out. He is doing well.

Eugene Day was out of the hospital for a few hours and then had to go back in. He may have been released on Sunday.

Kathy Wolfe fell again and bruised her arm. Her legs are so still she can hardly walk. Everyone misses her at church. Eddie and Thomas have both been sick as well.
