Funeral services for Everett “Leebo” Gibson, 65, of Isom, were held June 14 in Whitesburg. Burial was in the Sam Henry Tyree Cemetery at Dry Fork.
Born in Detroit, Mich., to Mary Jane Tyree Adams, now of Dry Fork, and the late Alvin Adams, he died June 11 at Pikeville Medical Center.
He was a brother of the late Mildred Blake and Milos Bare, and was a heavy equipment operator. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with family.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Towonna Gibson; a son, Christopher Lee Gibson and wife Sandy of Grammer, Ind.; two daughters, Joyce Ann Goff and husband Tony of North Vernon, Ind., and Amy Elizabeth Burgmeier of Georgia; a stepdaughter, Tracey Mullins and husband Wallace of Pound, Va.; two sisters, Mary Linda Holbrook and husband Merl of Dry Fork, and Nancy Scott of Highpoint, N.C.; seven grandchildren, Michaela, Dakota, Anna, Samantha, Michael, Tre and Emilee; and niece, Mildred Faye Bare.
