Hello from Kingscreek.
Hope everyone is having a good week. We at the center sure are.
On Tuesday, we played Bingo and everyone won something. I won a small ceramic basket. Since I love baskets, I considered it a great win. Genita Callihan supplied the prizes this time. That was so sweet of her.
Tuesday was also potluck for us. It seems like we are always eating.
One of our dear members died. Anna Lou Combs had been sick for a long time and hadn’t been to the center for awhile, but we still loved her. She was a very sweet lady.
Thursday, we did a lot of planning for the future. There is Valentine’s Day coming up, and we are thinking what we want to do. We also talked about the senior games. I don’t know a lot about it but guess I get to be a cheerleader. That could be because I have a big mouth.
I am looking forward to all the events we will have going on when the weather is more predictable.
Have been seeing a lot of dogs roaming around the county. If you have a dog who isn’t spayed or neutered, please try to get it done. There is a spay-neuter clinic coming up. As soon as I get all the details I will put it in this column. Also if you know anyone who has puppies they don’t want, I know a lady who will try to help you find them homes. Call me (633-1586) if you need any more information.
If you have animals you know they are real members of the family. I love my two dogs, but I don’t need puppies.
That’s about it for this week. Take care of yourselves and be good. If you can’t be good, at least try.
Until next week, smile — it’s good for you.
