Ex-Mr. Big singer here Friday



Rock vocalist Eric Martin, best known for his work with the Los Angeles-based hard rock band Mr. Big in the early Nineties, will peform in concert this Friday (Dec. 16) at Summit City in Whitesburg.

Martin, the vocalist behind the Mr. Big Top 10 hits “To Be With You” in 1991 and a cover of the Cat Stevens song “Wild World” in 1993, helped Mr. Big sell more than seven million albums. The band also featured bassist Billy Sheehan, guitarist Paul Gilbert and drummer Pat Torpey. Gilbert was later replaced by Richie Kotzen.

Martin has continued to perform solo since the band quit touring and performing regularly, releasing three albums of his own.
