Jason Brown grew this eight-pound sweet potato.

Joe and Linda Brown of Forrest, Miss., visited his mother, Virginia, and brother, Randy. They like to come when the leaves are at their prettiest, and they timed it just right.

They drove the Little Shepherd Trail all the way to Putney and saw many beautiful sights. They enjoyed attending the revival.

Stephen came from Tennessee one day while they were here, and Eli came one day.

We thought Randy and his neighbor had grown some huge sweet potatoes until Jason came in with an eight-pound one. One and a half-year-old Eli, who participates in everything his dad does, was really proud of it. He kept calling our attention to it.

Janice and Ron Wolod and some friends spent some time on Cowan as they were on their way home to Maryland after va- cationing in West Virginia. They, Thelma and Glennon Ison, Bobby Caudill and Anna and Duane Yonts enjoyed a trip to Bad Branch while they were here.

Sunday afternoon, Bo Brown and a friend he works with visited his granny, Virginia Brown. They are working in Hazard this week. Bo is getting to see a lot of the country as his work takes him everywhere.

Yvonne Brown Sutphin of Virginia and Robby Brown of Myrtle Beach, have been here visiting family and friends.

Yvonne and Linda visited with Regina Crawford in Frankfort for several days and went to Keeneland Racetrack in Lexington one day.

Robby and brothers Richard and Ronnie Brown went to Norris Lake to fish and caught quite a few.

Happy birthday to Robby Brown on Nov. 2, and to Robert Bennett Crawford on Oct. 30, and also birthday wishes to Ronnie Brown on Nov. 17.

Hello to Don and Dana Ison Walker of Naples, Fla., and hello to Dan Polly of Ermine.
