Whitesburg KY

The best time of all

Leaves color, crimple and fall

A cozy haze seems to be in the air

And jackets are ripe for wear

Harsh winds soon to be a chilly breeze

There’s no longer the buzz of bees

Grueling days of summer are done

Yellow, then red, now orange is the sun

Earlier comes the night

Children are ready for a fright

Pumpkins go out and lights go on

Little monsters look for candy or a con

November comes, bringing the cold

Colors of the world get less bold

Soon Thanksgiving’s gutbusting dinner

Now look out, cause here comes winter!
