Hello everyone. We have made it to December. I always feel like there’s a change in the air when December comes along. People seem happier and not as rushed. I’m glad to be around relaxed people.
I hope all had a good Thanksgiving. Mike and I ate at home this year. We did go to John and Faye’s for dessert.
John and Faye had a lot of people for Thanksgiving dinner. Faye’s son, daughter in-law, daughter, and others were in charge of the cooking this year. Those having dinner with John and Faye Campbell were Mark and Kathy Myles; Casey Myles and Sarah Davis; Gretta, Ryan, Chris, and Rylan Newsom and their friends Aron and Terry; Morgan Hopkins and Chris Williams; Lorainne Stewart, Addison and Jordan; Jonathon and Misty Hopkins. When we stopped by, they were having a wonderful time.
John and Barbara Banks of Cowan hosted Thanksgiving dinner for their family this week. Those attending were Tori, Rusty, Callie, and Ella Akers; Clay, Clinton, and Cooper Banks; and Paula Lowe. Dinner was delicious and they enjoyed visiting and spending time together.
Millie and David Banks of Cowan had a good Thanksgiving. Judy and James Jolly hosted the Day family at their home in Hazard. There are 71 family members and 41 were present for Thanksgiving. They all enjoyed their time together and had good food. The ones who were unable to attend were missed. Millie and David want to send a big thank you to the Jollys for hosting the Day family Thanksgiving.
Over Thanksgiving weekend, Millie Banks found a lost dog on her porch. She posted the picture on Facebook and the dog was reunited with its owner. The dog belonged to Caressa Brooks. We knew the dog was missing and are glad it was found.
Anna and Duane Yonts had Thanksgiving with family. Those attending were Amie and Jeff Daniels; Joe and Donna Yonts; Tasha and Jimmy Brown and children Jaydence, Bray, and Tucker. Time with family is always special.
John and Faye Campbell had company on Saturday. John’s daughter, Janis Marr came in with three of her children (Anna, Myles and Addison). Mike and I went over and played cards with them.
The closest Menards Store is located in Florence. Mike and I went there and back on Sunday. We went for insulation but they were out. We did get a rain check for the sale price. Our son, Mark, met us there and shopped with us. Afterwards we went to Skyline Chili for lunch. Since there was a JoAnn Fabric Store in the neighborhood, we had to go there. It was a good trip and I’m glad we were able to spend time with Mark.
