Families gathered for Easter holiday

Cowan Creek

Hope everyone had a good Easter!

So I forgot my news last week! Oops. I guess I was tired from playing outside with my family. My brother Robbie Ison cooked out for us and we hunted eggs and had a great day on Easter Sunday.

Byron, Morgan and Carolina Rayne celebrated her birthday at Cherokee Lake, Tenn., with her in-laws Benny and Barbara Eldridge. Morgan turned 25.

Micca Watts and Eli came in for Easter and they had a cookout at the home of Mike and Donna Watts. They had a marshmallow roast too.

Mike and Martha Wenning came to their cozy cottage on Easter to be with family, which is on Cowan Creek. I love their cottage. It’s awesome.

Tiffany, Collin and Connor Eversole spent a few days in Gatlinburg with her mom and dad. It was Pikeville’s spring break last week.

Prayers for the family of Jeff Roberts. So sad to hear of his death.

Hope everyone’s gardens made it through the frost. Robbie, Carla, Ernie, Raven and I are working on having a very productive garden this year. Nothing like fresh veggies!

Belated happy birthday to Aria Willow Grogan. Her parents are David and Sheena of Cowan Creek. She turned one year old. Grandparents are Doug and Ollie Adams of Whitesburg.

I am loving reading Michael Campbell’s journey as he is still walking the Appalachian Trail to Maine. He has a fourth of it behind him. He attended church while passing through different towns as he stops to refill on supplies. Keep on keeping on, Midnight Sparkle! www.walkingoffthewar@blogspot.com, lots of photos and an awesome journey to being free from all the memories of his past. May God bless you always. From the folks here on Cowan Creek.

Saturday, the 26th, we celebrated Morgan Eversole’s birthday at her home with food. Her friends had a cookout. They all had a good time. Thanks to Holly Bentley, Hassie Wright and Wendy Dunn.

Fredrick, Tiffany, Collin and Connor came by on Saturday. I gave them late Easter baskets.

Kathy Sigrest Lamonte came in last Thursday by herself. She stopped by and sat on the porch with me and Morgan, my daughter. We so enjoyed catching up on the news from our Mississippi cousin.

Happy birthday to Randy Brown. I think he will be 61 this week.

Prayers for the family of Johnny and Janet Napier of Cowan. Johnny’s dad died. S sorry.

Robbie, Ernie, Raven and I went four-wheeling Saturday evening and we saw a turkey with six little’s babies. Sweet. We called ourselves the Ison Clan. Town Hill is a good place to ride. We had a blast.

Carla Smith and her sister Doris Hudson went to western North Carolina to see waterfalls. She took lots of great pictures.

Pray for America. We don’t want another war.
