Family members come for visit

I hope everyone had a great week. Ours was very nice and the weather wasn’t too bad.

Our daughter Sharon Holbrook, her husband Greg, their daughter Amanda and our great- granddaughter Rylee Elizabeth Holbrook were here for the weekend. They also visited with Greg’s parents, Charlie and Wilma Holbrook. Colson

On Saturday evening, Greg, his parents, his niece Gina and her husband Ronnie and our granddaughter Amanda went to Wise for dinner. Amanda and Gina did some shopping.

Sharon, Rylee and I met my brother Coolie, his wife Janice and their daughters Kathy Adams and Katina Benton at Pine Mountain Grill for dinner. Katina and Rylee had a wonderful time. We missed the ones not there.

Talked to my brother Warren Douglas. He and his family are doing fine. Also talked to my sister Anita and all her family are fine. We are so scattered in different cities, it’s good to talk to them.

My sister Linda is going for another MRI the last of this month. She will then be scheduled for surgery. Please keep her in your prayers.

My great-niece Kaylee Baker and I spent this past Wednesday having fun while her Pappa and Mamma went to Hazard to get their bathroom fixtures and other things. That child is such a joy. She is so smart. She likes to sing so we have a concert each time we get together.

We had a great meeting for the Historical Society. Thank you, Shirley Sexton, for being there and taping our meeting for the Government Channel. Anytime anyone can come to a meeting for a visit, please do so for you never know what we will get into. Thanks to Dr. David Narramore, Bessie Shepherd, Maxine Quillen, Lee Anna Mullins, Kim Watts, Wayne Watts, Terenia Bledsoe, Gail Shepherd, Jean Cook, Buford Caudill, Donna Cornett, Sue Trent, and Darlene Collins for coming to the meeting and for telling about the projects we are involved with. We do stay busy.

Mike, Christy, Jason and Gabe Gilliam spent the weekend in central Kentucky with some of Christy’s family. They always enjoy being with family but Mary and Jean miss them.

Jennifer Isaacs, our daughter- in- law, came home this weekend for First Baptist Church’s cantata. She stayed with her parents, Tommy and Betty Stansberry. I know they love having her come home even if it is only for one night. Randy, Jared and Ethan stayed home for Jared had something going on at Georgetown College.

Keep praying for Melody Griffie Kelly, Ernestine Spangler, Ella Sparks, Omega Hall, Geneva Akeman and all who are sick. Also remember the ones who have lost a loved one this week.
