Faris Hall, 94, dies at Hazard



Faris Hall, 94, died April 23 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard.

Born in Letcher County to the late Willie and Nannie Martin Hall, he was the widower of Fannie Hall and a brother of the late Emma Collier, Ardelia Bentley, Marie Mullins, Belvia Spangler, Marion Hall and Carson Hall, and a stepbrother of the late Robbie Dale Hall.

He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Linda.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Surviving are two daughters Dian Hall and Peggy Sue Hall, both of Texas; two half-brothers, Donnie Joe Hall of Neon and Rodney Hall of Whitesburg; a halfsister, Delora Louise Caudill of Greenfield, Ind.; a grandchild, Jennifer Lynn Hunt; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Taylor Hunt and Kaitlyn Marie Hunt; and a friend, Bill Johnson.

Funeral services were held April 25 in Whitesburg. Burial was in King Cemetery at Kite.
