Festival lineup set in Jenkins

Community festival season will kick off in Letcher County next week with Jenkins Homecoming Days Festival, followed in subsequent weeks by Isom Days, Neon Days, the Mountain Heritage Festival, and Blackey Days.

This year, the Jenkins Homecoming

Days Festival Committee is honoring health care provider Alicia Gail Cook as its “Outstanding Friend of Jenkins” for 2018. (See Page 10 for more information.)

Following is the Jenkins festival’s schedule of events. This year’s event opens August 23 and continues through August 25.
