Hello folks. Hope everyone is surviving the cold weather and the ice. Sure has been a mess and so sorry for the ones that have to be out in the cold.
Sorry to hear that Curt Day, formerly of Cowan, died in Charlestown, Ind. He was 82 years old, and a son of the late Elbert and Laura Day. He is survived by three daughters, Rita (Roger) Manley of Otisco, Ind., Joanna (Ronnie) Combs, Mountain View, Mo., and Rachel (Bryan) Reynolds, of Collierville, Tenn., and two sons, Gary (Lois) Day of Charlestown, Ind., and Bobby (Leanna) Day of Otisco, Ind.
Also surviving are three brothers, Charles (Shirley) Day of Whitesburg, Floyd Day of Charlestown, Ind., and Paul Day of Texas, and three sisters, Mildred Ott, Virginia Sizemore and Rachel Pack. He also leaves to mourn his passing 14 grandchildren and 23 greatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lois Raleigh Day, a sister, Gertrude Hampton, and brothers, Ronald, James, Lee and Carl Day.
Grayson Funeral Home had charge of arrangements. Our sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
Also, Ray Frazier, formerly of Cowan, died. He was 88 years old. He was a son of the late Fred and Dora Sumpter Frazier.
Surviving are five sons, Harold of Burkeville, Gary of Etowah, Ind., Ronald Frazier of Cowan, Ricky of Blue Mountain, Miss., and Randy of Louisville; daughters, Sandy Day of Jasper, Ind., Pam Sandlin of Elizabethtown, Tenn., and Rella Braxton of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Jack Frazier of Whitesburg and Clyde Frazier of Hendersonville, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who knew him.
Cowan is getting wiped out fast. Still have several that still need our prayers, Archie Ray Fields, Della and Morris Maggard, Hazel Rayburn, Irene and Eugene Day, and Coleman Day.
I saw Morris and he said he has his good days and bad days.
I think we are all spoiling Archie, but the physical therapists say he is doing well and getting stronger. Keep Margaret in your prayers.
Bro. Tim Amburgey will be having a revival at Haymond Pentecostal Church on Feb. 1, 2, and 3, at 6 p.m. nightly. The congregation invites everyone to come.

Aiden Jaylynn Nicole Fields will be three years old on Feb. 3. She is the daughter of Melinda Bailey and Terry Fields Jr., and a granddaughter of Terry and Marcella Fields. Enjoy your day.
Tommy Roark of Commisky, Ind., died a year ago, Feb. 4. He is still missed by all who knew him. He was a son of the late Jonah and Opal Roark, formerly of Linefork.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Fields of Neon are the proud grandparents of a baby boy weighing 6 pounds, 10 ounces and 18 inches long. Their daughter, Priscilla Slone, is the proud mother. Congratulations to all.
