Five men have entered guilty pleas recently in Letcher Circuit Court and were sentenced by Circuit Judge Sam Wright.
Clarence Cecil Halcomb, 55, of Partridge, pleaded guilty to first-degree traffi cking in a controlled substance. On May 11, Wright sentenced Halcomb to five years in prison.
Rocky Lane Sandlin, 29, 32 CSX Drive, Whitesburg, was sentenced to two years in prison and fined $1,000 after he pleaded guilty to first-degree criminal complicity to promoting contraband.
Christopher “ Chris” Triplett, 49, of 125 Slide Drive, Isom, was placed on supervised probation for two years after he pleaded guilty to second- degree wanton endangerment, third- degree terroristic threatening and indecent exposure.
Robert Mitchell Spangler, 58, of 406 Pine Creek, Mayking, was sentenced to a two-year prison terms after he pleaded guilty to second degree trafficking in a controlled substance. After he is released from prison, Spangler will be placed on supervised probation for five years.
Allen Carl Mullins Jr., 34, of Edison, Tenn., pleaded guilty to drug charges in five different cases. On April 27, Wright sentenced Mullins to serve three years of a five-year prison sentence to run consecutively with a four- year sentence he is serving for first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mullins pleaded guilty to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance, second- degree trafficking in a controlled substance and five counts of complicity to first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance.
