Fleming-Neon Senior Citizens Center News:

Regular Bingo: Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. Exercise Bingo: Fridays if the center is open.

Sept. 17: Picnic at Fishpond Lake at 10 a.m. County Judge/Executive Jim Ward will be cooking. On the menu are pork tenderloin, chicken, potato salad, coleslaw, baked beans, hot rolls, and cookies. All seniors are invited. Center will be closed except for delivered meals.

Sept. 24: We will be enjoying Whitesburg Days. The center will be closed inside.

Sept. 25: Potluck. Bring a covered dish and enjoy.

Sept. 29: The Letcher County Extension Office will be on hand to play Health and Nutrition Bingo.

October 9: Health Fair at Hazard Community College

Oct. 22: Unity Day. Wear orange please.

Oct. 23: Potluck

Oct. 29: Regional Elder Abuse Awareness at Perry County Park, costume contest, food, and more.

The Fleming-Neon Senior Center is open from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on weekdays. Lunch is served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information, call (606) 855-7567.

Friday Nite Pickin’ will not take place during the month of September in observance of Mountain Heritage Festival events. We will resume on the first Friday of October with Will Caudill and Rt. 7 at 7:30 p.m.
