Flora Amburgey, 97, died September 1 at Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital.
A daughter of the late Troy and Dora Thomas, she was the widow of Willard Polly, and later married Kelly Amburgey, who also preceded her in death.
She was the mother of the late Carl Amburgey and Wilma Lucas, and was preceded in death by five sisters, Bertha, Lola, Marylou, Cora and Rhoda; four brothers, Robert, Lemuel, Houston and Arthur; two grandsons, Stevie Cornett and Kelly Yonts; grandson-in-law, Michael Baker; and great-greatgrandson, Seth Warlick.
She was a member of the Full Gospel Church of Neon.
Surviving are two daughters, Dora Cornett and husband Trubie of Dry Fork, and Anna Tyree and husband Jack of Marion, Oh.; two sons, Robert Amburgey and wife Sheila of Whitesburg, and Roosevelt Amburgey and wife Helen of Celina, Tenn.; 17 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren; and friend Doris Hunsucker.
Funeral services were held September 3 in Whitesburg. Burial was in Amburgey family cemetery at Campbranch.
