Flu has family feeling down

Hello everyone. I hope everyone is doing well. All my family have been sick with the flu and still don’t feel like running races.

Mike wound up in the ER last week with fever, vomiting, cough and congestion. Thanks to Guy Stewart for taking him and bringing him home. It seems like it hangs on forever and drains you physically.

Bill Maggard Sr., of Columbus, Ind., is home from the hospital and doing some better. Keep him and Agnes both in your prayers.

Audrey and Charles Hammonds, of North Vernon, Ind., and Mary Ann Maggard, who is still in rehab at Hazard, need all of our prayers, also Joe Bates, Peggy Caudill, Ella King, the Polly family, Pauline Bates, and all those who are sick.

It has been a pretty good weekend with the Wildcats winning over Ohio, and hopefully they will win their next game.

My granddaughter Michaela Fields and her cheerleading squad from Greensburg, Ind., won first grand champion in their competition in Nashville, Tenn., on Saturday. Congratulations to the Rebels and to Michaela. We are proud of you.

Late happy birthday to Charles Edward Demery Sr. of Little Rock Ark., March 26; Herb Fields, March 27; John Wayne Walker of Arkansas; and Rick Polly, who turned 59 March 26. I hope all of you had a good one. Big Cowan

Joann Fields, the wife of Leroy Fields, will have a birthday April 1, and our son, Chad Fields in Greensburg, Ind., will be 36 on April 5. We love you, son. I hope this will be the best birthday you ever had.

I will add more birthdays and anniversaries later on.

My news might be short, but with being sick all week I can’t think very well.

All have a good week, be good to one another, and pray for our country and Japan. May God bless.
