The 50th Kingdom Come Swappin’ Meetin’ will be held Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4 on the Cumberland campus of Southeast Kentucky Community and Technical College and event coordinator Michael Corriston says applications are now being accepted for vendors to sell food items and crafts.
The fee for “amateur” food booths is $ 90 per space for both days plus $35 for electricity. Professional food vendors will be charged $125 per day plus the $35 electricity fee. Crafts booths are $40 for each day of the festival.
Musician Jimmy Rose and his band will perform on Saturday night, Oct. 4 at 7 in the Edsel Godbey Appalachian Center theater. Tickets for the concert are on sale in the SKCTC business office located in Newman Hall. In addition to the performance by Rose, the 2014 Swappin’ Meetin’ will feature several new musical groups as well as arts and craftsmen presenters.
