FOOD DRIVE

FOOD DRIVE — Students at Letcher Elementary School recently took part in a Thanksgiving food drive. For the event, organized by Brett Lewis and Martha Watts, students collected more than 2,000 food items for distribution to families in the Letcher community for Thanksgiving. The Family Resource Center provided turkey and bread to accompany the 22 baskets of food. The eighth-grade class taught by Manis Blair helped separate the food items into the baskets. Pictured above is the fifth-grade homeroom class of Gina Dotson, which brought in the most items.
