Four-day forest study classes will be held June 9-13 and August 11-15 at Pine Mountain Settlement School in Harlan County.
The workshops will feature field trips to five forests in southeastern Kentucky, Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve, Bad Branch State Nature Preserve, Pine Mountain, Black Mountain, and Lilley Cornett Woods. Classes will be taught by Pine Mountain Settlement School staff and state forestry experts.
The cost is $325, which includes classes, meals, and lodging. Enrollment is limited to 14.
