Hello everyone, hope you are all doing well.

We’ve enjoyed these pretty days and warm weather, but winter is back with us. It is January.

We’ve been having some real good church services. Bro. Jamie Niece preached for us. I think it was the best he has ever done. I was so glad to see his mom, Shirley Niece, got to come. We had a full house. Their whole family was there.

I locked my keys up in my car. Two very nice people, Allen and Darlene Maggard, took me home to get my extra key. I really appreciated it. I’m glad I lived close by, but I felt like an idiot.

A belated happy birthday to Doyle Day, Kevin’s dad. I loved the song his sons Tim and Kevin had played for him, “I’m Beginning to See my Father in Me.” I’d sure like to see my dad Bill Howard in me. He was my hero and I was glad to take him to Sunday school and church for many years. He never learned to drive. He tried two times and totaled both of them. He always teased him about it.

Ida and Roger Hatton have a new grandson. The parents are Elbert Dale Hatton and Channa. I saw his picture. He is beautiful. It’s their first child and I know he will be spoiled. They have waited a long time for him.

We offer our sympathy to the family of Janice McKnight of Ermine, and to her brothers and sisters, Carfa Niece, Chester Lee Niece, Jimmy Niece, Henrietta Absher, Joyce Standifer and Juanita Adams.

Late happy 50th anniversary to Jackie and Gerald Frazier. You sure looked good in the paper!

We were all glad to see you, Gerald, at our Bible Study at Dairy Queen on Wednesday and also Gary Joe Bennett, Elmer Hammonds, Wendell Hogg, Jim Craft, Carlos Fugate, Ralpha and Buck Adams, another Craft man whose first name I didn’t get, myself, and of course Bro. Tony Brown, our teacher. I think that was our biggest crowd I have seen there. We enjoy it so much. I look forward to it. I don’t know why more people don’t come. It’s always interesting. We need to learn more about the Bible.

I enjoyed a call from Linda (Pennington) Hall. All of her family were doing O.K. We loved to keep up with our old Marlowe friends.

I’m glad to report my sister Kathleen Brock had her surgery on Friday. It went well and she is doing well and will be home soon. We all appreciate all the family and friends who were with her.

We have so many friends who are sick and need prayers.

We have some snow and are promised more. I hope they are wrong.

I’ve run out of time. It’s church time so may God bless all of you. Try to be in church somewhere, if the weather permits.
