Freda Combs home from WARH


Happy birthday to my precious grandson Kaleb Nathaniel Miller of Carcassonne. He will be 4 on April 3. He is the son of Damian Miller and Jennifer Combs, and his grandparents are myself and my husband Lee Roy, and Billie Miller of Blackey. He had a coal truck and heavy equipment party on Sunday at home.

Happy birthday to Jackson Henrikson of Carcassonne, who turned 4 on April 1, and to his sister Taylor. She turned 8 on April 8. They are the children of Johnny and Karen Henrikson. The grandparents are Jon and Loretta Henrikson of Carcassonne, and Wayne and Freda Bailey of Isom. They have an older sister, Takoa.

Freda Combs of Carcassonne had to be admitted to Whitesburg Appalachian Regional Hospital last Wednesday. She has the flu and they said Virgil was not feeling well either. Freda got to come home on Friday. I wish them both the best.

Prayers out to the family of Cassie Adams of Blackey. She is not doing too well right now and is very sick. She is the daughter of Randy and Mary Gail Adams. They said as of Saturday she was doing a little better.

Happy birthday to Jesse Bates of Elk Creek. It was on March 28. Geraldine Ison of Letcher is had one on the 28th, Charles Anne Mullis of Fernandina Beach, Fla., formerly of Blackey, had one on March 30, and Monae Nichols of Doty Creek on April 2.

Billy Dean Brashears was taken off of life support a few weeks ago and is breathing on his own. He is doing some better. He also turned 76 on March 19. I wish him the best.

Elwood Cornett of Blackey recently had surgery to remove one of his kidneys. He went through the surgery well and is doing better.

Jimmy Bates of Whitesburg was admitted to WARH on Tuesday. He is having some health problems. I wish him the best.

Lorene Halcomb of Carcassonne is in a hospital in Alabama where she has been living for awhile now with family. Her daughter Lynn said her lungs were just about gone and they were starting her on morphine Thursday. Everyone please say a prayer for her.

Doyle Dean Johnson of Jeremiah was moved from WARH to Letcher Manor Nursing Home. He is not doing to well.

Happy anniversary to Tommy and Debbie Gibson of Isom. It was their 37th on March 29.

Virginia Dare Back of Letcher is in the ICU in Pikeville with a major health problem. They said as of Saturday she was being a little grouchy with them so she was feeling a tad better. Dare is such a sweet lady. I hope she comes home soon.
