The Kiwanis Club of Jenkins will hold a fundraiser to help renovate the old Woman’s Club building in Jenkins. A food trailer will be set up in the IGA parking lot in Jenkins on Thursday, February 28 through Saturday, March 2, from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. Hotdogs with homemade chili, homemade barbeque and homemade pies will be sold.
The building was built in 1926 and is one of the few original buildings left in Jenkins. The building has retained its original structure, but is in dire need of repairs and upgrades. The repairs are estimated to cost approximately $20,000. When renovations are finished the facility will be available for use by the public for meetings, parties and other events as it has been in past years.
