Funeral services for Kathy Dishman Slone, 49, were held January 2 at Dunham Freewill Baptist Church.
A daughter of the late Lawsin Dishman and Patsy Beatrice Pugh, she was born in Neon. She died December 29 at Pikeville Medical Center after a short illness.
She was a sister of the late Christine Dishman and Lawsin Dishman Jr. and attended Neon Free Pentecostal Church.
Surviving are her husband of 18 years, Timmy Slone; five children, Ricky Dale Sturgill and Michael Wade Sturgill, both of Jackhorn, Brandi Hall, Wise, Va., and Kathy Ann Arnett and Katlin Rose Slone, both of Neon; two stepdaughters, Jennifer Nicole Cantrell and Jessica Michelle Adams; 14 grandchildren, Brittany Sturgill, Ricki Danielle Sturgill, Andrew Sturgill, Taylor Sturgill, Bradley Sturgill, Jamie Arnett, Leighanna Arnett, Braden Hall, Destiny Adams, Marissa Adams, Daniel Adams, Timothy Cantrell, Skylar Seals, and Brandon Collins; eight sisters, Betty Derryberry, Michigan; Shelia Willeford, Melissa Hall, and Thelma Slone, all of Neon; Shelby Dishman, Jackhorn; Shirley Hall, Cincinnati, Ohio; Shanda Carter, Payne Gap; and Darlene Sprague, California; and four brothers, Larry Slone, Neon, Omera Lee Issac, Jackhorn; Paul Amburgey, Dorton, and Lawsin Whitfield, Geneva, Ohio.
